Western Australia Courts & Tribunals
The full hierarchy of courts and tribunals in Western Australia for civil debt claims — from the Minor Cases procedure to the WA Supreme Court.
Western Australia's civil court structure differs from the eastern states in that it does not have a separate small-claims tribunal for debt disputes — instead, the Magistrates Court of Western Australia operates a streamlined Minor Cases procedure for smaller claims. For larger matters, the District Court and Supreme Court of Western Australia are available. All monetary thresholds are subject to legislative change — always verify current limits at the relevant court's website before filing.
Note that Merion's primary operating jurisdictions are Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT. The information below is provided as a reference for Western Australian matters.
